  27. Again, C-Kermit for OS/2 has been replaced by Kermit 95.  Three years of
  28. work have gone into making it faster and better.

  30. Kermit 95 for OS/2 can go as fast as the modem connection allows.  Please
  31. remember that:

  33.  a) You should set the modem's interface speed as high as possible.
  34.     If 115200 doesn't work for some reason, use 57600.  If that doesn't work,
  35.     use 38400.  Don't drop back to 19200 right away.

  37.  b) Use hardware flow control (RTS/CTS).

  39.  c) Remember that the modulation speed can vary according to the connection.
  40.     Most modems report the modulation speed when the connection is made.
  41.     But with V.34 and above, it can change up and down during the connection
  42.     too.  With such modems, it is practically impossible to measure file
  43.     transfer efficiency, since we have no way of knowing the speed of the
  44.     connection.
